Bio: Arguably the world's oldest mutant, En Sabah Nur embraced futuristic technology and became invincable. His believe if survival of the fittest has driven him to calling himelf Lord Apocalypse, intent on leading only those who are worthy into a new existence.  Unfortunately the beings he would normally consider worthy are the ones who constanty oppose him at every turn.

Romantic Interests: N/A  (himself maybe)

Nemeses: The X-Men, the weak, anyone who is not worthy.

Trivia: X-Men: Evolution delved into more of Apocalypse's background than TAS did. On TAS we are first introduced to Apocalypse in "The Cure" when he is using a false cure for mutants as a way of creating slaves to be his horseman.  While Warren Worthington III was made into his horseman known as Death, more recently in the comics Gambit has taken on that same postion.

darkphoenix.jpg

Real Name: The Phoenix Force/Jean Grey

Powers: While the Phoenix force of the comics technically duplicates Jean Grey's body, in the shows and film it becomes part of Jean from the possession in TAS to the alternate personality in X3.  Her powers are infinite, and she is practically undefeatable with them.  Among the most obvious though are her control of fire in which she creates the firebird she often flies around in, and when combined with Jean's telepathy, she can unmake all matter.

Bio: TAS - After the Phoenix force takes over Jean's body nd begins to experince emotion and other human characteristics for the first time, it overwelms her and she gluts upon it, refusing to give it up.  She even devours a sun - destroying an entire star system by doing so. Evo - in the prominition Xavier gets from Apocalypse's mind, It reveals that Jean Grey will one day be consumed by the Phoenix force.  X2/X3 - In X2 it seems as though Jean is merely evolving into Phoenix herself and when she sacrifices herself to save her teammembers, she rises from the ashes as we can see by he hovering shadow of a large bird like object over the lake at the end. X3 reveals that Jean had the Phoenix powers all along but was being caged by a mind block placed by Xavier. Phoenix became a split personality from Jean and eventually takes over, srushing anyone in her path.

Romantic Interests: In TAS she was manipulated by the Hellfire Club to believe she was in love with Mastermind.  In X3 she lusted for both Cyclops and Wolverine destroying Scott in the process.

Nemesis: anyone in her way

Trivia: Even though TAS was closer to the actual Phoenix story plot than the disaster X3 made of it, the stroy still was not accurate.  The Phoenix force had duplicated Jean's body and left the real Jean cacooned in the bottom of the Jamaica Bay.
